Joan Murtagh Frankel

Joan Murtagh Frankel leads Cahill's trusts & estates practice.

Joan represents individuals in estate planning, including use of irrevocable trusts, limited partnerships and similar entities for tax-efficient preservation and transfer of wealth. She also advises on matters involving administration of estates and trusts.  Her practice includes formation, qualification and administration of not-for-profit entities (both public charities and private foundations).

Joan has practiced at Cahill since 1974 (after two years in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Civil Aeronautics Board). She became a partner in 1993.
