Floyd Abrams Speaks at the MLRC Media Law Conference 2018

Cahill's Floyd Abrams participated in two panels on Thursday, September 27th during the second the day of the 2018 MLRC Media Law Conference.
In the morning, Floyd moderated the panel, Masterpiece Cakeshop & The First Amendment, as they discussed the Supreme Court’s decision in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. Floyd was joined by panelists David Cole of ACLU National Legal Director, Robert Corn-Revere of Davis Wright Tremaine and John Paul Schnapper-Casteras of Schnapper-Casteras PLLC.
In the afternoon, Floyd chaired the panel, Campaign Finance 101. This panel discussed the basic rules for election and issue ads on social media, along with what media lawyers need to know about election and campaign finance laws and what Citizens United really mean. Floyd was joined by co-chair Lee E. Goodman of Wiley Rein.
