Cahill Shortlisted for Innovation Award by Financial Times

Cahill has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Financial Times’ Innovative Lawyers in the Technology Sector Award in connection with the firm’s unique civil law strategy in defending Microsoft from cyber criminals.
Partners Brian Markley and Sam Enzer, with a team of associates including Jason Rozbruch, Mary Hornak, and Kathleen Tierney, alleged RICO, trademark, and other claims on behalf of Microsoft and obtained injunctive relief in the Southern District of New York, shutting down a thriving online marketplace based out of Vietnam, which sold tools to cybercriminals for use in ransomware and other attacks.
The award is part of FT’s Innovative Lawyers North America Awards, which celebrate leaders in digital innovation, strategic advice, talent management, and driving positive change in the profession.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on December 9 at Gotham Hall in Manhattan.
