Sesi Garimella is a partner in the New York office of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP where she focuses her practice on litigation matters with an emphasis on antitrust litigation, commercial litigation, securities litigation, and digital assets.
Past and present representations include Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, McGraw-Hill, and a group of global banks serving as underwriters of a Chinese company which undertook an IPO in the U.S.
The matter for the underwriters involved complex questions about cross-border securities regulation as well as the intersection of Chinese and U.S. regulations, white collar crime, and fraud prevention.
She has also prevailed recently on behalf of Credit Suisse in antitrust, class action, and securities matters and obtained successful results for Deutsche Bank in FINRA arbitration and in shareholder class actions. One of her recent victories on behalf of Deutsche Bank set broader precedents for the banking industry regarding custodial and fiduciary duties and earned Sesi and her team recognition in The American Lawyer’s Litigators of the Week column.
In 2023, Sesi was recognized as a Rising Star by both Law360, in the area of banking, and The New York Law Journal.
Sesi currently serves as Co-Chair of Cahill's Pro Bono Committee.
