Cahill Represents Boston Mayor Michelle Wu in Congressional Sanctuary City Hearing
Date: 03/07/25
A Cahill team was retained by Boston Mayor Michelle Wu in preparation for her March 5 Congressional hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, as part of its investigation into so-called sanctuary cities.
D.C. Office Head and Congressional Investigations Practice Chair Edward C. O’Callaghan, who led the Cahill team, provided advice from his seat directly behind the mayor for the duration of the hearing. In addition to days long hearing prep, Cahill’s role consists of ongoing work related to the committee investigation and responding to the Committee’s demand for documents on behalf of the Mayor and the City of Boston.
Wu’s appearance before the Committee – along with the mayors of Chicago, Denver, and New York – received widespread local and national media coverage in outlets including Associated Press, The New York Times, Reuters, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe, among others.
