Denouncing Anti-Semitism
Cahill leadership is proud to stand alongside the leaders of peer firms to denounce hatred and attacks on the Jewish community in the United States and abroad, including anti-Semitic activity on U.S. law school campuses following the terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Cahill is among the signatories to a letter sent to the deans of some of the top law schools, urging them to denounce anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism and assault on their campuses.
The letter urges the deans to action: “As educators at institutions of higher learning, it is imperative that you provide your students with the tools and guidance to engage in the free exchange of ideas, even on emotionally charged issues, in a manner that affirms the values we all hold dear and rejects unreservedly that which is antithetical to those values. There is no room for anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism or any other form of violence, hatred or bigotry on your campuses, in our workplaces or our communities.”

In response to the domestic attacks on the Jewish community in 2021, Cahill leadership proudly joined the leaders of other Am Law 100 firms in signing a letter denouncing anti-Semitism.
“Today, and every day, we stand against the pernicious and violent attacks against Jews in this country. We are horrified by the vitriolic hate being spewed, by both the uneducated and the educated who know better, on social media. We are disheartened and alarmed by the lack of urgency in denouncing these escalating and offensive attacks on Jews. In the face of these acts in our own country, we are frightened by the silence of a nation that vowed never to forget the massacre of millions at the hands of hate.”
