Landis C. Best and Joel Kurtzberg to Present Supreme Court Round Up: Review of the 2022-2023 Term

On Wednesday, July 26, Cahill will present a CLE program reviewing notable decisions and themes from the United States Supreme Court's recently concluded term. Presented by partners Landis C. Best and Joel Kurtzberg, the program will examine the Court’s most significant cases from this term, including the use of affirmative action in college admissions, redistricting and challenges under the Voting Rights Act, the fate of President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, the independent state legislature theory regarding elections, and the application of state public accommodations law in the face of a First Amendment challenge, among others. In addition, the program will discuss themes from the term, including calls for ethics reform in the wake of recent reports about previously undisclosed trips and gifts received by some members of the Court.
