Cahill Prevails on Behalf of Time Warner Cable in Contract Dispute
Date: 09/23/16
A Cahill litigation team prevailed on behalf of Time Warner Cable in dismissing antitrust defenses asserted by Universal Communications Network, a television network operator. In 2015, Time Warner Cable sued Universal seeking to recover amounts owed under the contract between the parties. In response, Universal argued that the contract was unenforceable under federal antitrust laws. On September 21, 2016, New York Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Oing rejected Universal’s claims, dismissing its antitrust defenses as improper.
